The valves are well made with 1/4-turn ball valves, so they are not only reliable but easy to turn on/off, which is a plus in the confined space recessed in the wall behind the washer. The above review mentions that the drain hole in the center is not large enough and it had to be enlarged with a file (?) - this is not necessary. The holes are sized on the bottom to snugly fit a piece of 2" ABS drain pipe - you can insert the pipe from the bottom without the use of a fitting, which was a huge plus to me. The washer drain hose should have a flexible end on it that you bend into a "U" shape and insert down into the center hole and into the 2" ABS below. It sounds like the above reviewer was trying to insert the drain pipe up through the hole and into the enclosure - this is not necessary as described above. If you have smaller drain pipe than 2", then just use an ABS reducer to go from whatever size you have (presumably 1.5" or...
